Case Technical Tool Backpack – Gedore
Technical packaging for work at height, combining operational safety, ergonomics and industrial-scale production
Project understanding and core challenge
GEDORE was looking for a technical backpack for professionals working on power grid installations, often at height and in high-risk operating environments.
The end user works with specific, heavy and high-value tools, requiring:
- Fast and secure access
- Precise internal organization
- Zero risk of tools falling during use
Solution development and technical validation
JOMO developed a thermoformed technical backpack, focused on safety, internal organization and ergonomics.
The interior was designed with individual tool fixation, with each tool positioned to remain organized, visible and stable, even when the backpack is open during work at height.
An additional internal divider increases storage capacity, allowing more tools and accessories without compromising safety.
The solution includes:
- Firm and lightweight thermoformed base
- Secure closure and limited opening system
- Straps with safety locks
- Adjustable thermoformed anatomical shoulder pads
- Back anatomy with ventilation
- High-visibility design with molded logo
Industrial scale-up
The project was structured for industrial production, including production trials, defined quality criteria and trained teams, ensuring repeatability, consistency and reliability at scale.
Final outcome
- Individually secured tools with no risk of falling
- Clear and functional internal organization
- Fast and controlled access during work at height
- Ergonomic comfort under load
- Robust and durable technical packaging
- Stable and scalable industrial process
A clear example of how JOMO applies engineering, thermoforming and functional organization to develop technical packaging for critical applications.
