Safety footwear needs to protect. But it also needs to be comfortable.
When PPE accompanies workers throughout their entire workday, comfort is no longer a detail — it becomes part of the solution.
Safety professionals know that there is no single ideal safety shoe for every type of activity.
A worker who spends hours standing has different needs from someone who walks long distances, works in hot environments or performs repetitive movements.
That is why, in addition to the protection required for each activity, comfort, ergonomics, stability, lightweight construction and moisture management are becoming increasingly important in the development of professional footwear.
And much of this performance begins where it is hardly seen: in the materials and components inside the footwear.
Technology workers can feel
At JOMO, different combinations of materials, including PU foams, EVA, densities, hardness levels, thicknesses, anatomical designs and coverings, allow us to develop solutions for different needs.
We work with insoles in different densities, dual-density constructions with JOMO EcoFlake, materials with antistatic properties and additional impact-absorbing elements.
Depending on the material and application, characteristics such as dynamic deformation, breathability, moisture absorption and desorption, resistance to curling, antistatic performance, and resistance to fungi and bacteria can be evaluated through specific technical tests.
Every activity deserves the right solution
At JOMO, our approach is not to develop one insole for every type of footwear. It is to understand where the footwear will be used, for how long, under what conditions and what is expected from it — and from there, select the materials and develop the appropriate solution.
This expertise also extends to components for PPE and body protection, drawing on our experience in foams, thermoforming, lamination and cutting.
Because protecting workers is essential. Helping them reach the end of their workday with greater comfort matters too.
